my happiness project.

2013 is the year of The Happiness Project. The spark of motivation was Gretchen Rubin's best-selling book, but the fuel is a monthly brunch with my friends and a series of projects I've laid out for myself. I anticipate this list will evolve as the year goes on, but for now, I've identified the following projects that bring with them a particular sense of happy:

The meta happiness project is blogging*, which seems somehow redundant to post here. In essence, I hope to write about these projects and engage with readers as I stumble, succeed, and explore happiness throughout the year.

* Update No.1: My goal was one post weekly, but as of June, I've upped the ante. I joined The Blog Dare and will try to post daily. *gulp*

* Update No.2: Also starting in June, I'm part of The Declaration of You book tour! What does that mean? Read this to find out and then follow along as I post weekly on topics such as enthusiasm, uniquity (yes, made up), intention, self-care, success, money, celebration, trust.

There are a number of other goals I'm working on related to my happiness project, but I'm not sure organizing my sock drawer and flossing nightly make for awesome blog posts. Who knows, maybe they do? As I said, this is a list of my major goals, but there will be assorted bits of happiness and the pursuit thereof found on this blog throughout the year.

What makes you happy? Have you ever attempted a project like this? I'd love to hear about it.
