On the Road Again | Washington, D.C.

I had grandiose intentions of blogging each night, posting a few photos, rambling on about the interesting places I'd visited and things I'd seen that day. Well kids, it's 4:00am, my cab comes in 30 minutes to wisk me away to my insane red-eye flight, and I've yet to blog a single line. Go figure.

I do plan to blog about the trip, I was just naive to assume I would be able to manage it each night (or any night, for that matter). I'll work on these posts over the next few weeks. I have family that wasn't able to come on this trip and friends who love DC as much as I do and want to hear of my adventures. Stay tuned for news about the wedding (the catalyst for this trip), and the three days outside the wedding that I ventured into DC. I've been to the city numerous times, but it always leaves me wanting more. This time around my itinerary included the 15th Annual Arts on Foot festival, the Postal Museum, an anti-war march of thousands of peaceful protesters, Penn Quarter farmer's market, Frida Kahlo exhibit, National Cathedral centennial showcase, to name but a few of the highlights.
